I think this article is a really important reminder of how easy it is for us to enforce gender stereotypes and encourage the negativity of cultural expectations of femininity with young children. ASK LITTLE GIRLS WHAT THEY LIKE TO READ for heavens sake! NOT who they think is pretty or handsome or just put their value in their cuteness.
